A Shirt for Dad

You don't have to be a baker or a tailor
to create this shirt cake for Father's Day!

1 Cardboard shirt box, at least 9 X 13 inches Happy Father's Day Cake
1 unbaked cake mix
3 Cups All-Purpose Buttercream or white frosting

food coloring
Line the shirt box with tissue paper. Prepare the cake batter according to directions.
Bake in a 9 X 13 inch cake pan, remove from the pan, cool, and place on waxed paper. Cover with a larger piece of waxed paper and flip the cake over and into the box (the cake bottom should face up).

Reserving a small portion for the tie, tint the frosting a pastel color with a couple of drops of food coloring. Frost the cake with the pastel icing. Tint the reserved icing a bright color and spread it into a tie shape on the cake. Cut a collar and two cuffs out of white paper.

The collar is a strip, rolled into a ring and taped, with a small V vut out of the center. The cuffs are rectangles with candy cuff links. Just before serving, trim away the waxed paper and add the collar and cuffs.

Serves 10 to 12.
